Brooke Marie Bennett ~ Age 12
Brooke, 12, disappeared and her body was found one week later. Brooke’s uncle was charged with the kidnapping. According to an affidavit, an unidentified minor told police that Bennett was being groomed by her uncle to join a sex ring called Breckinridge.
On October 1, 2008, her uncle was indicted on charges of kidnapping resulting in murder and five counts of child pornography. After he kidnapped Brooke, he drugged, raped and then strangled her before burying her body in a shallow grave near his home.
Another defendant in the case, Brooke’s former stepfather, was charged with obstructing justice in the case. The FBI says he had his roommate in Texas throw out a computer believed to contain child pornography.
