BIRTH: 1952
DEATH: June 16, 1964
Keith, 12, was one of the victims of the infamous “Moors Murders” and the only one whose body has never been found. He was abducted, and possibly sexually assaulted over 45 years ago as he walked the short distance from his home to his grandmother’s house, in Longsight, Manchester.
Ian Brady and his lover Myra Hindley killed and buried Keith in an unmarked grave on Saddleworth Moor on the border of Yorkshire and Lancashire. The pair were jailed for life in 1966 after being convicted of the murders of three other children, Edward Evans, Lesley Ann Downey and John Kilbride. Almost 20 year later, in 1985, Brady confessed to killing Keith and one other victim, 16-year-old Pauline Reade. But while Brady led police to Pauline’s body, he has never revealed where Keith’s body is buried.
